Jackie Baillie amongst names floated for Scottish Labour deputy leader

Veteran Scottish Labour MSP Jackie Baillie is rumoured to be preparing a campaign for the deputy leader job, alongside several other MSPs and Councillors.

Other names rumoured to be considering a bid are Pauline McNeil, who ran Anas Sarwar’s leadership bid, as well as left-wing councillor Joe Cullinane.

Dundee councillor Michael Marra may also run, according to the Daily Record.

The vacancy was created after Lesley Laird resigned when she lost her Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath seat.

One Scottish Labour member told the Red Robin that it would be a “failure” if both the parties top jobs were filled by men.

will she also be so anti Scottish in her thinking like nandy etc,,,,,,,,,,,,,, our so called socialist party, like telling the Scottish people they are not getting to have any referendum, and one especially feels that any nationalists should be treated like the poor people of Catalonia,,,,,,,,does she not classify herself as a British nationalist …and as such advocates getting imprisoned herself,(nandy) our so called labour socialism is somewhat discrimitive in nature ,mainly it seems against the Scottish nation,,,,,,,,,,,,,,can anyone tell me why????
